| National Schools of CaringWhat are National Schools of Caring?
National Schools of Caring are schools that have agreed to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities by participating in the national Souper Bowl of Caring movement. Students, faculty, staff and the local community will work together to participate in service projects and collect money, canned goods and other items to help to strengthen non-profits providing services directly to those in need. 100% of the collection is then donated to charities chosen by each school Participation takes place during the week leading up to the Super Bowl (January 26th - January 30th, 2009) Who’s Eligible?K-12 schools, colleges and universities, whether public, private, religious or independent are all eligible to become National Schools of Caring. The only requirement is that schools must have at least one group to participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring and all totals must be reported.
